How the travel fee works
Weddings outside the Puget Sound area include a travel fee. It covers what it actually takes to get to you: mileage or airfare, ferry fares, and lodging when your wedding calls for an overnight stay. The fee is listed as its own line in your quote, so you see the full cost before you book.
For out-of-town weddings I plan to arrive the day before. That way I’m rested, I’ve seen your venue’s light, and travel delays never touch your wedding day.
Where I travel
Anywhere in Washington, across the Pacific Northwest, and farther when your story calls for it. A few favorites:
- Lake Chelan for vineyards, sun and blue water.
- Leavenworth for mountains, river canyons and snowy winters.
- The Olympic Peninsula for sea stacks, rainforest and Lake Crescent.
- Oregon and beyond. One couple’s venue flooded three weeks before their wedding, they moved the celebration to Oregon, and I went with them.
Elopements and micro weddings
Traveling to say your vows somewhere beautiful with just a few people? Elopement coverage starts at $2,950 and micro weddings at $2,050, plus travel. See the investment page for what’s included.
Questions
How much is the travel fee?
It depends on where you’re getting married and how we get there. Send me your location and date and I’ll include the exact amount in your quote.
Do you travel out of state?
Yes. I’m available across the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
Do we need to book my hotel?
No. Lodging is handled through the travel fee, so you don’t need to arrange anything for me.
